- Whole building commissioning (WBCx): Includes energy-using systems, architectural systems, envelopes, lab systems, fire/life safety systems, security systems, irrigation and water reclamation systems for new buildings.
- Facility Optimization Services / Existing Building Commissioning / Retro-Commissioning: These services enhance the performance of existing buildings. This may include structures that are underperforming or have unexpected problems, existing facilities undergoing adaptive reuse, or historic buildings that are being preserved or retrofitted.
- Ongoing Commissioning: Glumac’s ongoing commissioning keeps building equipment and systems operating at peak efficiency. Regular building “checkups” ensure systems are functioning properly.
- Energy Audits: Glumac’s team of commissioning agents, energy analysts and design engineers perform ASHRAE Level 1, 2 and 3 Energy Audits. Our team evaluates building systems to determine what energy efficiency measures may increase building efficiency. We perform ROI and simple payback calculations to assist the owner in making educated decisions on which implementations to perform for most savings.
- Measurement and Verification: Glumac’s commissioning agents and energy analysts work with designers to create a measurement and verification plans to determine where and how energy is being used. We oversee the installation of the metering systems, monitor energy usage, and work with the building operators to maximize energy efficiency.
- Fire/Life Safety: Glumac’s fire and life safety experts provide third party verification that stairwell pressurization fans, smoke control fans, smoke detectors, and fire fighter control panels are operational in conjunction with the fire department’s final inspections.
- CALGreen Commissioning: The California Green Building Standards Code (non-residential) requires new buildings 10,000 sf+ to include commissioning in the design and construction process.
- LEED Commissioning: Glumac provides the third-party commissioning services necessary to certify Green Buildings. The USGBC LEED Commissioning system maintains the environmental and economic integrity of your project at every turn – promoting design and construction practices that increase profitability and improve occupant health and well-being, while reducing the negative environmental impacts.
