Personal Snapshot Edwin is also President of the Asian American Architects/Engineers Association of Southern California. Edwin Lee I was reading blue prints at 15, and actually worked on pressure testing a chilled water piping system at 16. I did all this fun stuff in my father’s company–a successful HVAC contractor for over 45 years. It was natural for me to continue my education and training to become a Mechanical Engineer. My design mandate is to have the building services engineering systems blended into the "Architectural Statement" of the project while maintaining an optimum balance between human comfort, installation & operating costs, energy consumption and environmental impact. As we all live in a world that is constantly changing, one of the things that I enjoy doing the most is re-reading my favorite book, Who Moved My Cheese?, a simple parable that reveals profound truths. I can honestly credit this book with helping me run my business and personal life: Move with the Cheese! It’s amazing how every time I read the book, it gives me different insights about life. |
