Explaining engineering concepts to clients, and walking them through a project where you are the expert presents both challenges and rewards - both of which drive me to excel. It amazes me that I have learned so much about business and engineering through my career, and yet learn something literally every day. There is never a boring moment.
The other aspect of what I do that drives me is working with great people. Managing the engineering process is very much a people business and I enjoy doing an exceptional job as judged by the client, the architect, contractor, and certainly our Glumac employees. Besides, this certainly beats having to work at a real job for a living! |
