[ARTICLE] Glumac’s Irvine Office Wins a CoreNet REmmy Award

The Glumac Irvine office was awarded the CoreNet REmmy Award for an Innovative Workplace at a charity gala in November. The award recognizes the team whose design collaboration blends modern technologies with a building’s space to create a new office environment that raises the bar. According to CoreNet Global, everything in the Irvine office “has a sustainable story, from the carpet tile with recycled content, to rapidly renewable bamboo veneer plywood.”

The REmmy Award is presented to the Southern California building that includes the ability to integrate innovation into the project’s design, saves money for the owner and client, and uses ingenuity to solve common workspace obstacles. Although there were 25 nominees this year, only three businesses exemplified CoreNet’s goal of “representing new ideas in collaboration and team leadership, innovative workplace environment, and socially responsible sustainable practices.”

CoreNet Global is the world’s leading association for corporate executives of leading multinational companies, many of which appear on the Fortune 500 and Global 1000 lists. The Southern California CoreNet chapter is focused on advancing real estate knowledge, connecting people, and promoting personal excellent for is hundreds of members.

Glumac partnered with Gensler architects to design the Irvine office, creating a space that is able to “translate their [Glumac] brand, improve workplace performance, and become a model for sustainability,” CoreNet says. The office is awaiting LEED-CI v2009 Platinum certification.
