Metier Alliance Displays Sustainable Design Booth at The Greenbuild International Conference & Expo

Diana Volovelskay, San Francisco Marketing Coordinator

The entire Metier Alliance, consisting of Glumac, ccrd partners, and Lincolne Scott, publicly presented their joint services at the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo in Portland, Oregon. We displayed our dedication to maintaining sustainable design with an impressive 20 ft by 20 ft booth that included reusable scaffolding donated by Sunbelt Scaffolding, thanks to Hoffman Construction and Operations Manager Troy Slosser. Hoffman Construction also contributed a center cement-like column, recycled wheat board pedestals designed by Ken Ambrosini, and raised access flooring provided by Advanced Technology Group (ATG). We also provided space for the City of Portland.

Glumac President Steve Straus was featured on the conference program, and participated in a panel discussion entitled, "Collaboration Lessons Learned: Old Dogs, New Tricks." Part of the talk highlighted the unity possible between companies such as those that are included in the Metier Alliance. Glumac is currently working jointly with Lincolne Scott on the construction of the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Waikoloa, Hawaii, a resort designed by MBH Architects in Newport Beach. We are also collaborating with ccrd partners on hospital projects in Washington, Oregon as well as Inland Valley Medical Center in Temecula, California and Corona Hospital and Reginal Medical Center in Corona, California.

Each year, the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo brings the industry together for three days of extensive educational programming, workshops, exhibition booths, and networking events. This year it drew more than 5,200 A/E/C professionals from 22 countries from November 10th through the 12th. The next conference will be in Atlanta, from November 7th through the 11th.
