| New Glumac Office Locations: Los Angeles & Silicon Valley |
Edwin Lee, P.E., LEED® AP, Los Angeles Managing Principal
With one box of Code Books and an optimistic outlook, Edwin Lee opened the sixth Glumac office at Los Angeles on July 1st of 2005. His vision: not only to provide excellent mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, commissioning and LEED® services to clients, but to also focus on Glumac€™s goal of providing innovative sustainable design that preserves architectural integrity. David Summers joined the office a few months later as Associate Principal, and enhanced the mechanical engineering design capabilities of the office.
July 1, 2007 will be the second anniversary for the Los Angeles office. In two years, the office has grown from one person to twenty dedicated employees. With experience and expertise, the Los Angeles office provides a broad range of engineering services to our clients in the following disciplines:

Glumac Silicon Valley Opening
Glumac is pleased to have opened our new Glumac Silicon Valley (GSV) office in Sunnyvale, California. The office is staffed with senior mechanical, electrical and plumbing LEED® accredited design professionals, and is focused on serving clients based in the Silicon Valley who have facilities worldwide. GSV will concentrate on projects that have sophisticated engineering and design needs, and ideally require some level of sustainable design that achieves, or is complimentary to, the ideals of the LEED® Green Building certification movement.
Glumac and Sustainable Design
Given that Glumac as whole has been heavily invested in the design and construction of green buildings for the last 10 years, we believe that the corporate and architecture communities in the Silicon Valley are poised to adopt sustainable green building design and LEED® certification.
Silicon Valley Going Green
The Silicon Valley is characterized by progressive high technology companies that challenge themselves, and their employees, to imagine, invent, develop, and market global products and services that allow people to live more productive and creative lives. Silicon Valley corporations characterize themselves as great corporate and community citizens, and as enriching, productive, and high quality places to work for talented employees. At GSV we believe that LEED® certified buildings will be a significant component for Silicon Valley based companies, as they create an environment to recruit and retain the best and brightest employees.
