Wanting to increase the productivity, as well as the energy efficiency and overall sustainability of its baby care product factory in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, Proctor and Gamble added a 48,882-square-meter (160,179-square-foot) expansion to the facility.
Glumac provided energy modeling services and LEED certification consulting on the project. The new expansion features a rainwater catchment and recycle system and efficient fixtures that reduce the facility’s water use by 45%. Increased ventilation vastly improves the thermal comfort of occupants. The facility also achieved its energy reduction goals goal of more than 16% reduction compared to ASHRAE standards. The project achieved LEED Silver certification.
